AdSense Share MU has options for your share percentage, AdSense Publisher ID, channel, and search channel to allow you to better track where your AdSense revenue is being generated. Your WP MU users will have options for their Publisher ID, channel, and search channel as well.

Most G2Y.net’s AdSense-ready WP templates have been customized to use google search instead of the default WordPress search. That increases your MU blog’s revenue potential!

The AdSense revenue will be split with your blog users based on whatever you select for your share percentage. If your users don’t configure their AdSense options, your ads are displayed 100% of the time. If you select 20%, your ads will be shown 20% of the time, and theirs will be shown 80%.

This customized version has been altered in a couple of ways:

  • The widget capability has been removed.
    I didn’t like the way it worked, and found a better way to use widgets in each template.
  • Some code was added to help prevent users from clicking on their own ads.
    If the blog user is logged in, the get_adsense_code script will return the MU owner’s AdSense settings.
  • AdSense Search Channel option was added.
    All of the G2Y AdSense ready templates have been customized to use Google’s search instead of the WordPress built-in search. If you configure an AdSense Search Channel ID, it will be used in the search widgets to better track your revenue.
  • Minor cosmetic changes.
    Fixed several word capitalizations. Added some help to the option pages. Added links for creating an AdSense account, and a link back to the creator and customizer.

Installation:

Installation is simple. Just unzip & upload it to your WordPress wp-content/mu-plugins directory and it will instantly become active on all blogs in your MU installation.

As an MU site admin, you’ll find the options under “Site Admin”, and then “AdSense Share”:
